Dr. Julian Kellner
From 2004 to 2008, Julian Kellner studied Business Administration at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen and passed a study visit at the IÉSEG - School of Management in Lille (France). During his studies, Julian Kellner worked as a student assistant and tutor at the Chair of Economics (Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Günter Gabisch) and the Chair of Marketing and Retail Management (Prof. Dr. Waldemar Toporowski). Furthermore he worked as an intern and working student for NOVELIS Deutschland GmbH and Logistec Logistik Management und Consulting GmbH.
Following his graduation as Diplom-Kaufmann, Julian Kellner worked as consultant for the ZUFALL logistics group in the business development/contract logistics division. From 2009 to 2014 he worked as research associate and doctoral student at the Chair of Marketing and Retail Management (Prof. Dr. Waldemar Toporowski). His research focused on online retailing, multi-channel retailing, customer behavior in online retailing/multi-channel systems as well as innovative technologies in retailing. In May 2014, Julian Kellner successfully defended his doctoral thesis with the topic “Differentiation in online retailing from a consumer perspective – studies on perception and value structures using the example of clothing online retail business”.
Since 2014 Julian Kellner works for the parcel service provider GLS. Through wholly owned and partner companies, the GLS Group provides a network coverage of 41 European states. GLS is also present in eight U.S. states and in Canada, and is globally connected via contractual agreements. At GLS International Julian Kellner worked in various positions. In his current function he is responsible for the International Product Management and is especially dealing with the cross-border products and services of the GLS Group in Europe.
