Invitation to the Symposium "Ethics and Intensive Care Medicine: Past, Present, and Future"

On March 21, 2025, the symposium "Ethics and Intensive Care Medicine: Past, Present, and Future" will be held in honor of Prof. Hilmar Burchardi. The event is organized by the German Interdisciplinary Society for Intensive and Emergency Medicine, the Center for Medical Law Göttingen, and the Palliative Care Center of the University Medical Center Göttingen.

This symposium offers an excellent opportunity to engage with current challenges and developments in intensive care medicine. In addition to a keynote on visions and values in intensive care medicine, the program includes contributions on ethical, legal, and palliative care aspects as well as a panel discussion on innovations and ethical perspectives.

Renowned experts from the fields of medicine, ethics, and law will contribute to the event, including Prof. Dr. Uwe Janssens, Dr. Gerald Neitzke, Prof. Dr. Onnen Mörer, and Prof. Dr. Henrikje Stanze.
