Welcome to the Göttingen Centre for Medical Law!

Medicine, law and ethics – three disciplines that are inextricably linked and constantly raise new and challenging questions. This is precisely where we come in: our members are dedicated to addressing both fundamental and current challenges at the interface of medicine, law and ethics, conducting interdisciplinary research and actively contributing to scientific debate.

Since its foundation in 2014, the Centre has been established as a joint institution of the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Theology at Georg August University of Göttingen and has developed into one of the leading scientific institutions in the field of medical and health law in Germany.
