ENLIGHT – Teacher Education Module 2027 at Goettingen University!

In today's globalized and interconnectect world, education plays a crucial role in promoting sustainable development and addressing global challenges such as climate change, social inequality and hunger reduction, and biodiversity loss. Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) and Global Citizenship Education (GCED) are two closely linked educational approaches that emphasize the need to rethink how we work, teach, and learn. Both prioritize inclusive and equitable quality education, which is not only part of but central to achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the Agenda 2030.

The aim of the International Teacher Education Module (TEM) in the year 2027 is to bring together pre-service teachers from the ENLIGHT partner universities to acquire, construct, and share their knowledge, competencies, and values abut ESD and GCED, too provide them with multiple opportunities to reflect on ESD and GCED and to encourage them to become change agents for a sustainable future.
