Research-oriented teaching and learning (FoLL)
Enabling research-oriented learning (FoLL)
Undergraduate and Bachelor's students (1/3 Master's possible) are welcome to apply for the research-oriented teaching and learning program. Inspiration and more detailed information on participation can be found in the column on the right. Susanne Wimmelmann will be happy to advise you on your project plans. You can contact her by telephone on 0551/395981 or by e-mail at susanne.wimmelmann@zvw.uni-goettingen.de.We regularly publish the dates for the students' project presentations on our german FoLL website. You are welcome to come along to the presentations! In addition to exciting projects and the opportunity to exchange ideas with the students and their teachers, a delicious buffet will be available.
On the occasion of the anniversary year “10 years of FoLL”, an anniversary brochure has been created, in which, in addition to a summary of the program and a brief description of the didactic concept, the results of all research teams are compiled by faculty. You may find suggestions for your research project there. Enjoy reading and browsing!
The anniversary year 2020 also provided an opportunity to conduct a survey, which was aimed at students from all former FoLL cohorts. The former FoLL participants were asked what influence their participation in FoLL had on their further studies, their further professional and, if applicable, academic careers. A condensed presentation of the results can be found in the right-hand column. Anyone interested in a detailed presentation of the results is welcome to contact Susanne Wimmelmann.
FoLL is aimed at Bachelor students of all faculties and their lecturers.
FoLL in five points:
- Bachelor students do research early with a practical orientation and in a team.
- They experience a coherent process from project planning to public presentation.
- Parallel to the research process, the Teaching and Learning in Higher Education department offers workshops and advice for lecturers and students.
- The workshops offered by the Teaching and Learning in Higher Education department are interdisciplinary.
- At the end of the semester, the results are presented to the university public.
