Samira Mummelthey

Dear fellow doctoral students,
My name is Samira Mummelthey and I’ve started my doctoral studies in 2020 in the context of the 'Schlözer Program Lehrerbildung’ in a subproject of the field of ‘Diversität gerecht werden’ under the direction of Kerstin Rabenstein and Ina Hunger. In the context of my PhD, I am interested in how - and as what - 'achievement' is produced and legitimized as a scholastic order of difference in physical education from a practice- and discourse-theoretical perspective. Empirically, I work with protocols of a participatory observation in P.E., interviews with P. E.-teachers, and practice-instructive journal articles.
I am currently the contact person for the Lehramt-Plus certificate ‘Inklusiven Unterricht gestalten'. I coordinate teaching assignments and guest lectures for this programme and am also involved in teaching myself.
Since the 2021/22 legislative term, I have been the PhD student representative of the Faculty of Social Sciences and thus regularly exchange with other university policy actors.
Overall, I am particularly interested in the networking of doctoral students from the different disciplines of the GGG and the reduction of obstacles during PhD studies. In addition to these aspects, I am of course also the contact person for a wide range of issues concerning doctoral students. No matter if it is about problems or new ideas and suggestions, you are welcome to contact me and we will work out together how to proceed.
Kind regards Samira Mummelthey
