Dr. Marie-Theres Modes
Marie-Theres Modes holds a PhD in Sociology with a focus on spatial sociology, disability studies, and qualitative research methods. She studied Sociology and Linguistics at the University of Göttingen and recieved her doctorate in 2015 from the University of Kassel under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mechthild Bereswill. Her dissertation, based on ethnographic fieldwork, explored the reciprocal relationship between space and disability.
She has many years of teaching and research experience at various universities, particularly in the field of social work. Additionally, she taught in the field of curative education and has been supporting students in their individual professional development processes for many years.
