Postal voting


The university elections will be held as an internet-based online election (digital election) with the option of postal voting and will take place from 13 January 2025, 12:00:00 noon, up to and including 21 January 2025, 12:00:00 noon.

All eligible voters can make use of the postal voting option.

  • The postal voting documents can be requested until 02.01.2025, 15:00:00 (cut-off deadline), in writing (receipt by the election management) or in person during office hours (Monday to Thursday from 09:00:00 to 15:00:00 and Friday from 09:00:00 to 12:00:00) at the election management, Von-Siebold-Straße 2, 37075 Göttingen, Zimmer 2.123.

    Postal voting documents may only be handed over or sent to a person other than the person entitled to vote if an authorisation to receive them has been provided, at least in text form. By sending or handing over the postal voting documents, the authorised voters are excluded from electronic voting.

    The postal voting documents must be returned to the electoral administrationer, Bereich 81, Von-Siebold-Straße 2, 37075 Göttingen, by 21 January 2025, 12:00:00 noon.
