Event formats

The German ASCOLA Chapter organises the following kinds of events:
  • At least one annual in-person workshop or conference for the German Chapter.
  • Shorter events, primarily in online or hybrid form, that offer the opportunity to present and discuss current developments or research projects. Proposals to present on a certain topic or research project are welcome.
  • Comparative exchanges in cooperation with other ASCOLA chapters.
  • Spontaneous informal round tables on policy matters. Again, suggestions are welcome. This format is typically limited to ASCOLA members.

Invitation to participate

If you are interested in presenting a research project for discussion (e.g. from an article, a habilitation or dissertation thesis, from collaborative projects or based on current developments), or in speaking on an announced conference topic, please contact us. In principle, all topics that are relevant to competition law or the (academic) competition law community are welcome, including from neighbouring disciplines. We strongly encourage ASCOLA members at all career levels (senior / junior) to participate; at the same time, membership is not required.

On October 18th (14:00) and October 23rd (15:00), the Chapter will host two informal exchanges to discuss the draft guidelines and to help interested members prepare statements for the public consultation. Please contact us (t.weck[at]fs.de) if you would like to participate.
The event will take place as a webinar on 18.11.2024 at 6 pm CET. Further information can be found in the linked flyer.
