Dr. Britta Lietke
Dr. Britta Lietke (Dipl.-Kffr., B.Sc.) studied Management at the Otto-von-Guericke University in Magdeburg from 1999 to 2004. During her studies she completed internships in Germany, Poland and Kenya. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Management (B.Sc.) she spent a semester abroad at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia on a full DAAD scholarship. In spring 2004, Dr. Lietke was awarded her diploma in Management with the specializations Marketing and Administration & Organization. Her diploma thesis was entitled "Collaborative Ventures - an Alternative to Integration? Investment Incentives from a Property Rights Perspective".
As a research assistant, Frau Dr. Lietke’s research interests included producer-retailer cooperation through ECR (efficient consumer response) and supply chain management within the framework of new institutional economics (NIE). In April 2009 Dr. Lietke successfully defended her doctoral thesis on Efficient Consumer Response.
Dr. Lietke started working with McKinsey & Co. in October 2009. As a Senior Knowledge Expert in McKinsey’s Product Development & Procurement Practice, she moved to Chicago in 2014 and advises clients globally on indirect procurement issues, including procurement capability building, advanced sourcing methodologies, demand management, contracts, and procurement policy optimization.
