Three ERC Advanced Grants for the Göttingen Campus

Recognition of high quality research at the Göttingen Campus: Professor of Auditory Neuroscience, Tobias Moser, from the University Medical Center Göttingen (UMG) has been awarded his second ERC Advanced Grant; and ERC Advanced Grants also go to Professor Hannelore Ehrenreich and Professor Claus Ropers, both from the Max Planck Institute for Multidisciplinary Sciences. Ehrenreich is also a professor at the UMG and at the Faculty of Biology and Psychology, University of Göttingen. Ropers is also the head of a research group at the Faculty of Physics, University of Göttingen. University President Professor Metin Tolan congratulates them all warmly.
The awards are linked to project funding totalling around 2.5 million euros each over five years. The European Union uses ERC Avanced Grants to support outstanding researchers who are already established in their scientific careers in projects that promise groundbreaking new findings.
