Shopping

Grocery shops, pharmacies and other essential shops that have been open despite the recent lockdown will have shorter opening hours due to the holiday season. On Christmas Eve (24 December 2020) and New Year’s Eve (31 December 2020), many shops will be open until 13:00 or 14:00 only. Please see individual signs on their entrance doors. On 25 and 26 December 2020 and 1 January 2021, most shops will be closed. Exceptions are petrol stations, kiosks and some bakeries.

Emergency and crisis

We wish you a very safe and relaxed holiday break and hope you won’t need these emergency numbers. But remember these services are there for you: do not hesitate to contact them in the event of a personal or family crisis. A good overview of contacts, as well as tips and info for such situations is provided by Studentenwerk (student services).
