Dr. Katrin Kallweit
From 2005 to 2008 Katrin Kallweit studied business administration with focus on Marketing and Business Information Systems at the University of Merseburg. Subsequent she continued her study at the Georg August University of Göttingen and obtained her university degree in Marketing and Channel Management (M. Sc.) in 2010. The titel of her Master thesis was: "User acceptance of new technologies using the example of IPTV".
During her study she absolved an internship at the "AOK-die Gesundheitskasse" in summer of 2006. Furthermore, in spring of 2008 and in summer of 2009 she worked for the telecommunication company Vodafone Germany as an intern. Since summer term 2008 she worked as a tutor for the lecture "Procurement & Sales". First she was employed by Prof. Dr. Günter Silberer and since winter term 2008/09 by Prof. Dr. Waldemar Toporowski.
Since the beginning of 2011 Katrin Kallweit is working as a Consultant in the section E-Commerce consulting by the elaboratum GmbH. Besides she is working as an External Research Assistant by the Chair of Retailing and is supported by a scholarship of the Günther-Rid-Foundation in the context of her doctorate.
Her research focuses on the topic ?New technologies in Retailing? as well as Mobile Commerce and Location Based Services.
About the Rid Foundation:
The Rid Foundation is dedicated to the support of Bavarian retailers, paying particular attention to medium-sized companies. To generate and to disseminate state-of-the-art knowledge a scholarship-program was initiated by the foundation. Two doctoral scholarships in the area of "New technologies in Retailing" have been awarded in cooperation with Prof. Dr. Toporowski, Chair of Retailing at Georg-August-University Göttingen, and Prof. Dr. Gutknecht from Munich University of Applied Sciences.
